Solutions without limits!
Off shore industry
Approximately seventy percent of earth’s surface consists out of water. It is no wonder that many of our products can be found on or under the surface. Think of plastic pipes and coating systems for steel pipes, but also piping for drilling platforms and ships, pumps, buoys and floating bodies belong to the possibilities.
This is a proof of our versatility. A large range of innovative products have already derived from our solution-oriented way of thinking. These products and the way we think is your assurance that we are providing the best solution for all of your projects each and every day.
Quality and the level of service are important to us. Our ISO 9001:2008 certification is proof of this. As part of our quality policy our employees have been VCA* and VCA** certifiied. For working off shore they have completed the BOSIET course.
As a result of our way of working and the high quality of our solutions, our products are used all over the world. Convince yourself and contact us. We are happy to inform you about our solutions.

Installation of offshore installations on location.
We delivered and installed a special pipe for an desulphurisation piping system on the Yeoman Bontrup ship. Seawater is pumped through a pipe to the top of the 45 meter high chimney. The seawater is sprayed through the sulfur so that the mixture sinks down. This mixture is separated from each other. In the end the clean water is discharged to the rear of the ship in the sea.
The Butterfly is our in-house developed automatic remote controlled HDPE welding machine.
Commissioned by our Belgian client Farys we converted several steel flanges by ISO 21809 with a PU injection.
In the fight against piracy, we have installed what is known as a pirate pipe, or water cannon, on the tow hopper dredge Willem van Oranje. With this pirate pipe, this ship has been given a sustainable, effective and legal solution for the protection against piracy.
Water cannons create an extremely powerful water jet, so that it is virtually impossible for pirates to approach the ship.
On St. Maarten, RKT International BV installed a 3 km long water supply pipeline, commissioned by MNO Vervat International, for the desalination factory in diameter DN500 SDR17 HDPE-100.
BOSIET training is obligatory in order to be permitted to work offshore. BOSIET is a basic training course in which participants are trained in survival, basic medical knowledge and how to survive at sea. Employees of Rombouts Kunststof Techniek have also taken these training courses and thus fulfil the requirements for off-shore projects.
Repair of PE cover of electricity cables for windmills (land and sea) in the London Array.
Buoys made of synthetic material with solar panels, developed by Rombouts Kunststof Techniek, have saved the Dutch Ministry of Waterways and Public Works millions. The old iron buoys had to be taken out of the water every 2.5 years and sand-blasted, painted and fitted with a new chain. This time-consuming and expensive procedure is now consigned to the past due to Rombouts’ innovative solution. In addition to the 7,000 buoys in Dutch waters alone, worldwide there is considerable interest in buoys made from synthetic material. Rombouts has developed the buoys in conjunction with a company from Almelo and a French firm. In the coming years between 200 and 500 plastic buoys are expected to be produced.
